Grace Jones (19 maggio 1948), vero nome Grace Mendoza, è una modella, cantante, attrice giamaicana. Regina della disco-music, responsabile della fusione tra la disco e il reggae. Nota anche per la sua indiscutibile e algida bellezza, riuscì ad avere immediatamente un folto seguito, soprattutto all'interno della comunità omosessuale di New York. Dopo essersi assicurata un contratto discografico con la Island Records nel 1977, Grace Jones pubblicò una serie di album dal sound prettamente disco con cui ottenne un discreto successo.
